Born in Coimbra, he studied at the Universidade de Aveiro, in the class of Professor Zóltan Santa, having finished in 2010 the Professional Degree in Music Teaching. In the same year, he started to attend the Master’s Degree in Music at the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, in the class of professor Aníbal Lima.
In his professional career, he had the opportunity to collaborate with several orchestras and groups, including Remix Ensemble, Remix Orchestra, Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, Orquestra Nacional do Porto, Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, Ludovice Ensemble, Concerto Campestre and Orquestra Gulbenkian, among others. Since 2009, he has been a regular member of the Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música.
He worked with great soloists, such as Enrico Onofri, Alina Ibragimova, Andreas Staier, Riccardo Minasi, Fabio Biondi, Dmitri Sinkovsky and Rachel Podger, and with important conductors, such as Laurence Cummings, Christophe Rousset, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Masaaki Suzuki, Andrew Parrott, Paul Hillier, Harry Christophers, Peter Rundel, Heinz Holliger, Pedro Amaral, Pedro Neves, Evgeny Bushkov, Michael Zilm and Emilio Pomàrico.
He was selected to participate in two editions of the Remix Summer Academy. Collaborated in recordings for the label Naxos (Concerto Campestre), and Harmonia Mundi (Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música and Andreas Staier).
He is a teacher of Violin and Chamber Music at the Escola Profissional Metropolitana and attends the Master’s Degree in Performance in Ancient Music, at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, in the class of professor Benjamin Chénier.
