Guadalupe del Moral was born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1981. At the age of 4 she began studying violin under the Suzuki method. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music teaching and choir conducting from the Instituto Domingo Zípoli, in Córdoba. Additionally, she continued violin studies under the guidance of Prof. Humberto Carfi, studying also composition and string quartet at the National University of Córdoba.
In 2003, she moved to Barcelona where she continued her studies in baroque violin and historically informed performance with Manfredo Kraemer and Pablo Valetti at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, where she attained her Diploma “cum laude” in 2009.
Mss. del Moral has a wide teaching experience in Argentina and also in Spain. She enjoys a varied concert career all over Europe, playing with different ensembles, such as Ensemble Les Sybarites, The Rare Fruits Council, Le Concert des Nations, Café Zimmermann, Ensemble Barroque de Limoges, La Caravaggia, Elyma, Al Ayre Español, Pulcinella, Les Cyclopes, Il Complesso Barocco, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Forma Antiqua, Vespres D’ Arnadí, Le Concert d’Astrée, B’Rock, etc.
Since 2006 she works with Jordi Savall in chamber music concerts and as permanent member of the orchestras Orquesta Barroca Catalana and Le Concert des Nations, as principal second violin and frequently as soloist.
She has recorded several CDs (orchestral, chamber music, solo) on Harmonia Mundi France, Alia Vox, Zig Zag Territoires, Deutsche Grammophon, Alpha, etc.
