ÍÑIGO ARANZASTI PARDO
Born in San Sebastián, Íñigo started his studies at the Conservatorio de Música de San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid) under the guidance of Francisco Comesaña and Polina Kotliarskaya (violin) and Horacio Icasto y Laura Díaz (piano). He was a member of the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (1994-1996) and of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (1997-2000). In 1998, Íñigo completed his studies with the highest marks and moved to Germany (Düsseldorf) to study in the Robert Schumann Hochschule under the direction of Rosa Fain, Jurgen Kussmaul, Charles-André Linale, among others. During his stay in Germany he was a member of numerous groups of chamber music and orchestras, such as the Rheinische Kammerphilharmonie and Klassische Philharmonie Bonn.
In 2001 he moved to Vienna (Austria) where he specialized in Baroque and Classical violin and viola under the guidance of Ulli Engel, Erich Höbarth, José Vázquez and Gertrud Weinmaster.
He plays regularly with groups like Al Ayre Español, Capella Gabetta, Millenium Orchestra, Ensemble Artaserse, Le Concert de la Loge, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Ensemble Pulcinella, Le Cercle de L’Harmonie, Le Concert Lorrain, Kammerorchester Berlin, Wiener Akademie, Barucco, Bach Consort Wien, Haydn Akademie, Orpheon Consort, La Tempestad, among others, playing in halls like Musikverein Wien, Konzerthaus Wien, Philharmonie Berlin, KKL Luzern, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Herkulessaal Munich, and many others. Íñigo worked with renowned musicians such as Enrico Onofri, Christophe Coin, Elizabeth Wallfisch, Phillippe Jaroussky, Christoph Prégardien, Simon Standage, Monica Huggett and others and did several recordings for EMI, Deutsche Grammophon, SONY and different radio stations.
He plays an 18th century italian violin and a french H.C. Silvestre from 1825, for late classical and early romantic music.
