Juan José Francione was born in Argentina. After graduating, in 2013, from the Guitar and Chamber Music career at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires “Astor Piazzolla”, he decided to continue his specialization in Lute and Figured Bass in Italy and, later, in the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (Zurich, Switzerland), under the guidance of Eduardo Egüez.
He develops an intense concert activity as a soloist and with the Ensemble La Chimera, exhibiting in numerous concert halls and festivals of early and modern music in Europe. He collaborates with ensembles such as Collegium 1704 (Václav Luks), La Terza Prattica (Massimiliano Toni), Talenti Vulcanici (Stefano Demicheli), Ensemble Mare Nostrum (Andrea De Carlo) and others.
He is co-founder, with Carlotta Pupulin, of the Cordis Consort ensemble, which was founded in 2019 as a variable formation, mainly focused on the world of plucked instruments.
