Julien Hainsworth began playing the baroque cello at the Conservatoire de Toulouse before continuing his studies with Emmanuel Balssa at the Conservatoire Erik Satie in Paris. In 2006 he obtained his bachelor’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, and in 2008 a master’s degree with distinction in Brussels, under the direction of Alain Gervreau. During his studies, he had the opportunity to participate in two Academies in Ambronay, in 2004, under the direction of C. Rousset, and in 2005, with W. Christie.
Since the end of his studies, he performs regularly with early music groups such as Pygmalion, Correspondances, Les Talens Lyriques, Insula Orchestra, Les Surprises, as well as in chamber music projects from the renaissance to the romantic period.
