Lilia Slavny

Lilia was born in Moscow, where she attended the P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 1991, she moved to Israel where she completed her degree in modern and baroque violin at the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem, under the supervision of Michael Kugel, Daniel Fradkin and Eliezer Bendersky.

In Israel, she was an active member of the Jerusalem Consort, Binyamin Quartet, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, and PHOENIX ensemble.

In 2002, she moved to the Netherlands, where she began her studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, with Elizabeth Wallfish and Kati Debretzeni, receiving the degree of Master of Music.

She performed with renowned musicians, such as James Bowman, Maggie Cole, Antonie Ruley, Shalev Ad-El, Ton Koopman, Alfredo Bernardini, Enrico Onofri, Philippe Jaroussky, or Sandrine Piau.

She played at major ancient music festivals, such as Utrecht Early Music Festival, Bachfest Leipzig, Bodenseefestival, Brežice Festival, Festival di Cremona, Donaufestwochen, Bach en Combrailles, Les Académies Musicales de Saintes, Magdeburg Telemann Festival, Internationale Barocktage Stift Melk, Festival La Chaise Dieu, Poznań Baroque Festival, and Itineraire Baroque Festival.

She collaborates with important ancient music groups such as Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, English Baroque Soloists, Harmonie Universelle, Gabrieli Consort and De Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Le Cercle de l’Harmonie, Apollo Ensemble, Ludovice Ensemble, Ensemble Bonne Corde, Les Inventions, The King’s Consort and Le Concert de la Loge.
